FAQs

Welcome to Gotmoves FAQ section. Here you can find answers to commonly asked questions about our service.

  • What types of vehicles does Gotmoves deliver?
Gotmoves specialises in driven vehicle deliveries using professional trade plate drivers. We handle any type of vehicles, including cars, vans, and electric vehicles (EVs), provided they are under 3.5 tonnes.
  • When will the vehicle be collected and delivered on the day?
We provide a two-hour time of collection and arrival (ETA) window and real-time tracking for each delivery. You will receive updates similar to those you'd expect from your Uber ride or Amazon delivery, including live tracking links and status notifications. Additionally, you will always have a dedicated Gotmoves business manager who you can contact about any delivery.
  • Does Gotmoves offer retail deliveries as well as B2B?
Yes, we caters to both fleet/B2B deliveries as well as delivering to retail customers. Our professional service and precise ETAs ensures an excellent customer experience, whether delivering to dealerships, fleets or individuals.
  • Does Gotmoves offer nationwide coverage?
Yes, we provides comprehensive nationwide coverage across the UK. Our door-to-door service ensures vehicles are delivered directly to the specified location. For longer distances, deliveries may span more than one day.
  • Does Gotmoves offer same-day or next-day delivery?
While our standard service requires 72 hours' notice, we understand that urgent situations arise. Upon request, we will make every effort to accommodate same-day or next-day deliveries, subject to availability and logistical considerations.
  • Can Gotmoves handle single and bulk vehicle movements?
Absolutely. We are equipped to manage both single vehicle deliveries and bulk movements. Our extensive network of professional drivers enables us to handle multiple vehicles simultaneously, typically delivering between 1 to 4 vehicles at a time.
  • Does Gotmoves offer driven delivery, transported delivery, or both?
We specialise exclusively in driven deliveries. Our professional trade plate drivers are scheduled by us to ensure that deliveries happen on time, with reliability & consistency and at the most affordable cost.
  • Are the vehicles fully insured for vehicle delivery?
Yes, all vehicles we transport have fully comprehensive cover while under our care. Our insurance coverage includes the full value of vehicles in transit, up to £100,000 per vehicle.
  • Are drivers fully vetted and trained?
Absolutely. Our drivers undergo comprehensive background checks and have substantial experience in vehicle deliveries. Each driver completes an induction and training program to ensure they deliver a professional, reliable, and courteous service.
  • Do Gotmoves provide proof of delivery and vehicle inspection reports?
Yes, we provide detailed proof of delivery (POD) and proof of collection (POC) documents for every transaction. These documents include signatures, timestamps, and photo evidence of the vehicle's condition at both pickup and delivery points, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the delivery process.
  • How much can I earn as a driver?
You are paid a fixed rate of £100 plus 10p/mile for any distance you drive each day. This typically means either: a) You are picked up from your house and driven to and from the start and end of your move. If you do two moves in a day which total 150 miles driving you will earn £100 + £15. b) If you are driving for the full day, then you will be paid for all miles driven. e.g. if in the above example you pick up the driver from home and to/from each job and your total mileage is 200 miles, then you will be paid £100 + £20.
  • What does the role entail?
As a driver, you are responsible for picking up, transporting, and delivering vehicles to designated locations safely and on time. You must also follow the guide for reporting the vehicle pictures, which depending on the customer, often includes taking pictures and recording the condition on pick up and drop off.
  • What flexibility do I have with which days I work?
You have complete flexibility on which days you want to work. On our portal you will see which workdays are available for next week and you can decide which and how many days you'd like to work. Once you choose a workday, you’ll follow the schedule we provide for that day - job flexibility is not available.
  • How do I get to and from the move?
We will help you get to and from the move, so that you aren't responsible for arranging and covering the costs of your transport to and from the vehicle transfer.
  • Can I choose the jobs I do?
No, you do not choose the deliveries you do, but instead the days you wish to work.
  • What hours should I expect to work?
We will send you in advance your schedule for the day - but typically this will involve leaving the house between 7-9am and returning between 3-6pm.
  • Do I need my own insurance or trade plates to drive other vehicles?
No you don't, we will insure any vehicle on a driven delivery. If trade plates are needed for the move then we can supply these.
  • What happen if you don't have any deliveries for me on a day I am working?
